Parrot Partners Canada is a charitable education and adoption aviary. We are located at 25 Industrial Avenue in Carleton Place, ON. Come meet our 'colourful cast of characters' from around the world and learn about their natural instincts, habitats and the conservation efforts underway to save those species at risk of extinction. Learn about the challenges parrots face in our homes while you help us train and keep them ready to go to their new family. Under the watchful eye of a senior tour guide reinforce 'good companion behaviours' and ignore behaviours that are incompatible in a home setting.
In our one-hour private aviary tours you will learn about parrots and the struggles they face both in captivity and in their natural habitats. The tours include a half-hour training in the aviaries and a half-hour interactive activity with a parrot or two. Our aviaries are home to over 30 parrots and 18 different species! Interactive activities may include one of the following:
•Give a parrot a spray shower
• Take a parrot outside on a buggy walk (seasonal)
• Build a toy with a parrot
• Parrot training
• and much more!
*Activity will be selected by your tour guide
It all adds up to a unique, hands-on educational experience which helps relinquished parrots find and keep their next new home.
